Strategies to get the perfect Beaufort rental home experience:

Get the best rental value:

  • Book your Morehead City vacation home in the Spring or Fall to get the benefit of gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities.
  • Reserve your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules often open twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families reserve their Summer rental homes during Winter holiday get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Hosts sometimes offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Ask your property manager if discounts are available for your family.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer renters an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for specifics.
  • Find a copy of your local Morehead City visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, travel guides contain deals for local tours, shops, and attractions.

How to pick the best rental in the Morehead City area:

  • Select your vacation week and max budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your family requires. Stellar townhome with pool, firepit, fitness room, furnished patio & bikes has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed types is almost always accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, reach out to the property management company before you reserve the home. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to establish what is suitable for your vacation family.
  • Is your group looking for specific amenities? Most websites include amenity lists and search filters.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. .
  • Remember to include your furry companions! Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Extra fees or charges could be applied to your agreement.

Advice for a wonderful stay:

  • Be sure you get the host's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental.
  • Document any damages to the property during check in, and immediately contact the host. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are helpful if a dispute arises.
  • Hosts are available to help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful vacationers disrupting your peaceful neighborhood. Use the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and scenic spots you would have not otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Keep the property locked while you are gone! Don't let crooks spoil your holiday.
  • Double-check the rental property to make sure that you've packed all of your belongings at check-out. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • After your trip, leave feedback! Property owners rely on good feedback to inspire new reservations. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your feedback find their best vacation rental. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
