How to find the best Morehead City vacation rental experience:

Getting the best rental home value:

  • To book the largest rental within your budget, we highly recommend booking in the Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at popular Morehead City attractions and restaurants. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Morehead City vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • In the Morehead City area, The earlier you can reserve a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental homes are reserved early. Booking your rental home up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your rental.
  • Property managers sometimes offer discounts for veterans. Ask your property manager if rate reductions are available for your family before you book.
  • Property managers typically offer guests an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for additional information.
  • Find a copy of your local Morehead City visitors guide magazine upon arrival. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, travel guides contain deals for nearby accommodations and attractions.

Planning and picking your Morehead City rental:

  • Select vacation dates and maximum budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the configuration your group needs. BB's - Perfect Choice For Your Beaufort Vacation! has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed types is often accessible on booking pages. If they are not listed, email or call the host before reserving your rental. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes pull out couches in living rooms.
  • Visiting for a single attraction? Try a map search to find nearby properties.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before booking
  • If your family is bringing pets, you'll need to search for a property that allows animals. Make sure to ask for specifics on breed, weight, and type requirements. Be aware that some property owners require additional pet deposits and fees.

More considerations for your visit:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Take a printed copy, and save the instructions to your phone.
  • Note any damages to the rental at check in, and immediately send them to the owner. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are helpful if a dispute arises.
  • Property managers are available to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Respect the neighborhood. Often, adjacent homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by keeping the rental locked up while you are out, just like you would back home.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, take a walk through the rental to make sure you've collected all personal items. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the property one final time and keep an eye out for damage. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host isn't available, remember to take pictures of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did your family have a terrific vacation? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide comments. If your property and/or property manager was terrific, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was out of order and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
