Strategies to get the perfect Atlantic Beach rental home experience:

When to book a Morehead City rental home & When to go:

  • The sooner your group can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable properties are booked early. Booking your vacation home 6-12 months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental.
  • To find the most suitable rental within budget, we strongly suggest booking in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at your favorite restaurants and activities. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the high season.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host whether your group qualifies for a discount.
  • Property managers typically offer their guests an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for specifics.
  • Many management companies supply Morehead City area visitors guide magazines that include special offers, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Morehead City visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

How to select the perfect vacation rental in the Morehead City area:

  • Select vacation dates and maximum budget.
  • Note the number beds and the configuration your family requires. Fully Renovated Top Floor DIRECT CORNER OCEANFRONT\nAugust dates available! has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is often available on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, email the property owner before booking the vacation property. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which often includes pull out couches in living rooms.
  • Remember to include your furry companions! Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your rental agreement! Extra fees or costs could be applied to your contract.
  • Are you visiting for a single attraction? Use a map search to find nearby rentals.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental.

During your stay:

  • Be sure you get the owner's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your . We recommend storing the manager's information in your smartphone.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, intercom or appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents a lot of concerns.
  • Ensure you protect the property owner (and your things!) by locking the rental while you are gone, just like you would at home.
  • To make sure no damages are attributed to your family's stay, inspect the property for any problem areas when you arrive. Contact the rental manager right away to relay your findings. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable visitors disrupting your peaceful home life. Apply the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and scenic spots you would have never otherwise known!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • When it's time to leave, complete a walk-through to confirm you did not leave anything behind. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the rental one final time and keep an eye out for damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever possible. If the manager isn't available, ensure that you take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did your group have a excellent time? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for customers to provide feedback. If your rental and/or host was fantastic, they would love to hear it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
