Finding the best Atlantic Beach rental home experience:

Cost saving strategies:

  • Reserve your Morehead City vacation home in Fall or Spring to enjoy gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Morehead City vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • The earlier you can reserve a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation homes are booked early. Reserving your vacation home up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and book your rental property.
  • Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if discounts are available for your family before you book.
  • Property management companies often offer renters an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost you between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for additional information.
  • Often, management companies and vacation rental houses supply Morehead City area visitors guide magazines which will include coupons, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Morehead City visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

How to choose the best vacation rental in the Morehead City area:

  • Select a group lead, select your vacation dates, and select a spending budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the configuration you need. Southwinds F16 - 2 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, Oceanfront Condo has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Morehead City rentals search.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is regularly accessible online. If not, call the host before booking the vacation property. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches.
  • Is your group looking for unique amenities? Most rental websites include search filters for amenities. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
  • Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before booking.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, and some don't. Allowable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask the host about allowable breeds and types before booking.

Advice for a fantastic stay:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Add a note with the instructions to your phone, and take a printed copy.
  • During check-in, document any damages to the property and immediately alert the owner. Keep records of all coorespondence.
  • Property managers are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Respect your neighbors. Often times, adjacent homes are filled by local residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations is the right thing to do.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can often help. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by keeping the rental locked up while you are out, just like you would at home.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, walk through the rental property to confirm you've collected all personal items. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Leave feedback! Property owners rely on good feedback to stimulate new reservations. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other families will appreciate that you share your review find their best rental home. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
