Strategies to get the perfect Atlantic Beach rental experience:

How to get the best rental value:

  • Summer months are high season in the Morehead City area. Book your vacation in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons to enjoy gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowds.
  • Book your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules generally open 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups book their Summer vacations during Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host whether your group qualifies for a special rate.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer their guests an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for details.
  • Look for your local Morehead City visitors guide magazine upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, travel guides contain offers and deals for local shops and restaurants.

Selecting the perfect vacation rental in the Morehead City area:

  • First, have your group commit to a vacation week and a spending budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your group requires. Third-row beach cottage with deck, grill, washer\/dryer & screened porch has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is often available on booking pages. Otherwise, contact the property management company before reserving your home. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds. You will need to work out what is suitable for your trip.
  • If there's a particular Morehead City destination you long to visit, keep an eye out for rentals that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. .
  • If your family is bringing pets, you'll need to search for a pet-friendly vacation rental. Get details on breed, weight, and type requirements. Be aware that some hosts charge additional pet fees.

During your stay:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Take a printed copy, and save the instructions to your smartphone.
  • To make certain damages aren't attributed to your family's visit, inspect the property for any problem areas when you arrive. Make contact with the property manager right away to document any damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, elevator or kitchen appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent many problems.
  • Respect your neighbors. Often, adjacent homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting noise limits and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Ensure you protect the property owner (and your things!) by locking and securing the home when you are away, just like you would at home.
  • Just prior to departing, take a walk-through to confirm you did not forget anything. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your family have a wonderful vacation? Most rental home management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide feedback. If your property and/or property management company was fantastic, they would love to hear it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
