Strategies to get the best Morehead City rental experience:

When to book & When to go:

  • The sooner your group can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The best vacation homes are reserved early. Booking your vacation property 6-12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental property.
  • Book your Morehead City rental property in the Spring or Fall to get the benefit of warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowds.
  • Some property managers offer promotional rates for veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if rate reductions are available for your family.
  • Property managers typically offer renters an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
  • Many rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Morehead City area travel guides which will include money-saving deals, either offered directly by local companies, or through a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find Morehead City area magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Planning and choosing the best Morehead City rental:

  • First, have your group choose the best dates and a budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your group needs. The Sanderling Tiny Cabin Water Access\/Private Shared dock has 3 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is often accessible online. Otherwise, reach out to the host before booking the property. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • If your family is bringing pets, you'll need to find a pet-friendly vacation rental. Ask for details on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Often, property owners require additional pet deposits and fees.
  • Visiting for a single event or attraction? Use a map search to locate nearby properties.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. .

Some things to know before you go:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before leaving home. Save the directions to your smartphone, and take a printed copy.
  • Hosts are great sources of help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Lock your rental home while you're out. Protect the owner's property and your things!
  • To make certain that damages aren't linked to your family's visit, note any problem areas during arrival. Contact the rental manager right away to relay any damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Be respectful of your neighbors. Frequently, nearby homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies is the right thing to do.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can usually help. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Upon check-out, complete a walk-through to make sure you have not leave anything behind. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your group have a excellent time? Many rental home management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide reviews. If your rental and/or property management company was fantastic, they would love to hear it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
