The cabin is located on a pine grove lot with access to a SHARED private dock on deep water Brices Creek. Brices Creek flows into the Trent and Neuse Rivers and then out to the Atlantic Ocean. You are encouraged to use one of our kayaks to savor the water. Other activities include swimming, fishing, crabbing & boating. Don't miss a chance to prepare a s'more over our enormous fire pit.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THE QUEEN BED AND ONE TWIN BED ARE IN LOFTS THAT REQUIRE RENTERS TO CLIMB LADDERS TO ACCESS THESE BEDS. How to get the best vacation home experience:

Cost saving strategies:

  • To find the best value, consider shifting your family's Morehead City vacation dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer warm temperatures, fewer crowds, and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Morehead City vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
  • The sooner your group can reserve a home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental properties are booked early. Reserving your vacation rental up to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation rental.
  • Some property management companies offer discounts for veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if discounts are available for your group before you book.
  • Property managers often offer guests an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which generally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for details.
  • Find a copy of your local visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local information, visitors guide magazines have deals for local accommodations, tours and attractions.

Use filters to search efficiently:

  • Choose your dates and spending budget.
  • Note the number beds and the bed configuration you need. The Sanderling Tiny Cabin Water Access\/Private Shared dock has 3 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is generally accessible online. If not, email the host before reserving your home. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • Does your family require particular amenities? Most rental search websites include amenity lists and search filters. Use these to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Make certain to ask about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
  • If your family is vacationing with pets, you must reserve a rental that allows animals. Request details on breed, weight, and type requirements. Often, property managers charge pet deposits and fees.

More considerations for your visit:

  • Take a copy of the host's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental property. We recommend storing the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • During arrival, make note of any damages to the rental property and immediately contact the host. Record all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, A/V setup or coffee maker. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent many problems.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay more pleasurable. You'll magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a fantastic resource to find the best local beaches and hangouts.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Keep your rental home locked while you are out! Don't let crooks ruin your family vacation.
  • Double-check the rental property to make sure that you've packed all of your belongings at check-out. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the rental one final time and scan for any damage. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the property manager isn't available, remember to take pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did you have a terrific stay? Most rental management companies make it easy for clients to provide feedback. If your rental and/or host was fantastic, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was inoperable and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
