Tips and Tricks for getting the best vacation home experience:

Get the most from your rental home budget:

  • Book your Morehead City rental home in Fall or Spring months to enjoy gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August.
  • In the Morehead City area, The sooner your group can reserve a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best rental properties are reserved early. Booking your rental home six - twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental home.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Booking websites frequently offer guests an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for additional information.
  • Find a copy of your local visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitor guide magazines have discounts for local accommodations and attractions.

Planning and choosing the perfectvacation home:

  • Select a group lead, choose your vacation dates, and select a budget.
  • Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. Cabana A Upstairs Ocean view has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts is often available on booking pages. If not, email or call the property owner before you book the vacation property. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull out couches in living rooms.
  • If there's a particular Morehead City destination you are crazy about, look for rentals that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Remember to confirm all required amenities are available before booking
  • Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement! Additional fees or charges may be applied to your invoice.

Have a wonderful stay:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before traveling. Take a printed copy, and save the instructions to your phone.
  • At Check-in, document any damages to the property and immediately alert the owner. Record all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, television set or coffee maker. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent many problems.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. You'll magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are often a great resource to find the best local spots.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can frequently help. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Lock your vacation home while you're out and about. Protect your property!
  • Re-check every room of the vacation property to confirm that you've packed everything on check-out day. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Leave a review! Hosts rely on excellent feedback to drive more reservations. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to remedy it.
