How to get the best Beaufort rental home experience:

When to reserve a Morehead City rental home & When to go:

  • Booking your Morehead City vacation rental in Fall or Spring months is our best tip for saving money on your vacation rental. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable properties.
  • Reserve your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually become available a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families book their Summer vacations during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Some property managers offer rate reductions for active duty military and veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if special discounts are available for your family.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer customers an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for details.
  • Find a copy of your local visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local information, visitor guides contain coupons for nearby restaurants, attractions, and tours.

Use filters to narrow your search:

  • First, have your group agree to date ranges and a spending budget.
  • Note the number beds and the configuration your family requires. TOP 5% rated, Nautical-themed Beaufort Bungalow near Downtown Beautiful Gardens has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed types is generally available online. If you don't see them listed, email or call the property owner before you reserve your home. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches. You will need to determine what is suitable for your vacation family.
  • Are you visiting for a single event or attraction? Use a map search to browse nearby properties.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. .
  • Are you bringing the family pet? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Remember to ask your host before booking, and study your rental agreement! Pet fees or costs applied to your contract.

More tips for your stay:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before traveling. Add a note with the instructions to your smartphone, and take a printed backup.
  • Upon check-in, make note of any damages to the property and immediately contact the host. Keep records of all coorespondence.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, television set or washer/dryer. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents lots of concerns.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay more pleasurable. You'll increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are often an excellent source for finding the best local beaches and hangouts.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Lock your vacation home while you are out. Keep your property safe!
  • Re-check every room of the vacation property to confirm that you've packed everything at check-out. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the rental a final time and look for any damage. We suggest walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host is not available, remember to take photographs of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your group have a terrific stay? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide comments. If your property and/or property manager was wonderful, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was inoperable and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
