How to book the best Beaufort vacation rental experience:

How to get the best value:

  • Summertime is the most expensive season in the Morehead City area. Reserve your Morehead City vacation home in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons to get the benefit of warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Morehead City vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
  • Reserve your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups book their Summer rental homes during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host if your group qualifies for a discount.
  • Booking websites frequently offer customers an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for more information.
  • Many property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Morehead City area travel guide magazines which include money-saving deals, either offered independently by local companies, or through a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Morehead City visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

How to pick the perfect rental home in the Morehead City area:

  • Choose a group leader, select your trip dates, and select a maximum budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the bed configuration your family needs. Quaint ground floor guest house in historic Beaufort, NC. has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Morehead City rental home search.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is almost always available on booking pages. Otherwise, reach out to the property manager before reserving the property. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You'll need to determine what is best for your family.
  • Visiting for a single event? Try a map search to browse nearby properties.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before reserving a rental
  • If your group is traveling with pets, filter your search for a rental that allows animals. Request details on breed, weight, and type requirements. Be aware that some property managers charge pet deposits and fees.

Have a wonderful stay:

  • We recommend storing the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
  • At Check-in, note any issues with the rental property and immediately contact the host. Keep records of all coorespondence.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, elevator or kitchen appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents many issues.
  • Be a good neighbor. Often times, adjacent homes are filled by local residents. Respecting noise limits and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Lock your rental property while you're out! Don't let thieves spoil your holiday.
  • When it's time to leave, take a walk-through to confirm you didn't leave anything behind. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your group have a excellent time? Most rental home management companies make it easy for clients to provide feedback. If your property and/or property management company was wonderful, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was amiss and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
