Tips to get the optimal vacation home experience:

Find your best deal:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of NC. Reserve your Morehead City rental property in Fall or Spring months to get the benefit of beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer.
  • The sooner your group can book a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation rentals are booked very early. Booking your vacation home up to 12 months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and book your vacation rental.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner whether your family qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
  • Booking websites frequently offer customers an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually costs 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
  • Often, rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Morehead City area visitors guide magazines which will include money-saving deals, either offered independently by local companies, or through a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Morehead City area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Filter your search:

  • Begin by choosing a vacation week and a budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the configuration your family needs. Stunning Ocean Front Views-Pet Friendly-Clean! has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is normally accessible on booking websites. If not, email or call the host before you reserve the vacation property. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds in living rooms.
  • Are you looking for unique amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters with amenity lists.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, but others do not. Allowable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask your host about pets before booking.

Some things to know before you go:

  • Get the property manager's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your rental home.
  • To ensure that no damages are attributed to your visit, inspect for any problem areas upon your arrival. message the property manager right away to record any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, television set or coffee maker. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents quite a few issues.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious visitors bothering your life at home. Use the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and places you would've never otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Keep your rental home locked while you are away! Don't let burglars spoil your vacation.
  • Re-check the property to confirm that you've packed all of your belongings on check-out day. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Walk through the property one final time and scan for damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host isn't available, ensure that you take photographs of the rental to record its condition.
  • After your trip, leave feedback! Property owners rely on excellent reviews to compel future reservations. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your review and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
