2 Bedrooms, 2 Bathrooms / Two Blocks from the Waterfront
Welcome to our Starfish Cottage! Starfish Cottage is freshly remodeled and has two bedrooms and can accommodate five people – One bedroom has a queen bed and a twin bed and the Master bedroom has a queen bed and en suite bathroom. There are 2 full baths (showers, no tubs). The front porch has a swing, chairs and a great view of the historic Beaufort Courthouse Square. There is a separate living room, a separate dining room, a full supplied kitchen with dishwasher, washer/dryer, central heat/ac, WIFI, extended cable, phone, cruiser bicycles and helmets, linens, beach towels, beach chairs, body boards, cooler, and a four burner propane grille. Coffee, paper products, and soaps (laundry and dishwasher detergents, and soaps) are included for short stays. The Starfish Cottage includes one parking spot. We are pet friendly, and 1 “well behaved” dog can accompany you with the payment of a $60 non-returnable pet fee. NO SMOKING.

About the Area

Located in Beaufort, this vacation home is in the city center. Beaufort Historic Site and Core Creek Bridge are local landmarks, and some of the area's activities can be experienced at Morehead City Yacht Basin and Town Creek Marina. North Carolina Maritime Museum and Mount Maker Charters are also worth visiting.

  • June, July, and August are high season in Beaufort. To find the best vacation home within your budget, we highly recommend booking in Fall or Spring months. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at Morehead City restaurants, beaches, and activities.
  • Book your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacation rentals during Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host whether your group qualifies for a discount.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer renters an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses.   • Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking the property while you are away, just like you would back home.
  • Double-check the vacation property to confirm that you've packed all personal items on check-out day. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the property a final time and look for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager isn't available, remember to take photographs of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your family have a great stay? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for guests to provide comments. If your property and/or property management company was wonderful, they would love to hear it. If anything was wrong and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
