Strategies for getting the perfect Morehead City vacation home experience:

When to book & When to go:

  • The earlier your group can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The best vacation rentals are booked very early. Reserving your vacation property up to 12 months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental property.
  • Summertime is high season in Emerald Isle. Book your Morehead City vacation in the Spring or Fall to get the benefit of beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Morehead City vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer promotional rates for veterans. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your group before you book.
  • Property management companies usually offer guests an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
  • Many rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Morehead City area travel guides which often include money-saving offers, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Morehead City visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Filter your search:

  • Start by selecting your a vacation week and a budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the bed configuration your family needs. Sound Of The Sea North 212, Almost Oceanfront Condo in Emerald Isle, NC! has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is normally available online. Otherwise, contact the property management company before you reserve the property. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You'll need to establish what is suitable for your vacation.
  • Some properties allow pets, but some don't. Allowable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask the owner about pets before booking.
  • Visiting for a single event? Try a map search to find nearby properties.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.

Know before you go:

  • Get the owner's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your .
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, television set or WIFI setup. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent quite a few concerns.
  • Lock your vacation home while you are out. Keep your property safe!
  • To ensure that damages are not attributed to your family's visit, make a record of any problem areas during check in. message the host right away to relay your findings. If there is a dispute, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant vacationers bothering your peaceful home. Use the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and places you would've not otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Double-check the rental property to make sure that you've packed all belongings at check-out. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the property a final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager isn't available, ensure that you take photographs of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your family have a terrific stay? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for clients to provide comments. If your rental and/or property manager was fantastic, they would love to hear it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
