About this Property

  • Sleeps 8
  • 3 Bedrooms
  • 3 Bathrooms
  • Condo
  • Approximately 1140 square feet

From the front door of our condo, you are steps away from putting your toes on the beach! Our handsome, newly refreshed 3-bedroom, 2.5-bath condo offers modern beach touches and the amenities of home. This second-floor unit directly faces the ocean and has impressive vistas of the Crystal Coast. Savor a morning cup of coffee on either of the two balconies with pretty vistas of the beach!

Upon your arrival at Dunescape Villas, you will find bags carts and grocery shopping carts as well as an elevator to make moving into your home away from home simple and fast. There is a screened-in entry way / mud room in the front and a separate laundry room that has a full-size washer and dryer. The condo itself was newly remodeled and freshly decorated. It features luxury plank floor throughout, completely-equipped kitchen, separate wet bar with drink refrigerator, oceanfront screen porch off the living room, and a separate oceanfront balcony off of the master bedroom.

The master bedroom has a king size bed with an en suite bath with shower. The 2nd bedroom has a twin bunkbed and a full bed and is next to a full bath with tub; there is also a modest workspace/desk area in this bedroom if you are so inclined. The 3rd bedroom has a queen bed and its own private half bath. There are TVs in all three bedrooms.

The kitchen has all new appliances including French-door refrigerator, dishwasher, and over-the-range microwave and is equipped for all your cooking needs. There is a new Keurig K-Duo Coffee Maker, which accepts single serve K-cups and can also brew drip coffee with a 12-cup carafe.

The living room has a 50” Samsung Intelligent TV with constructed-in Alexa. There is a screened-in porch off of the living room with seating overlooking the dunes, boarded walkway to the beach and, of course, the ocean.

Throughout the complex, there are numerous picnic areas with tables and charcoal grilles; you will need to provide your own charcoal. There are four swimming pools and multiple private beach access points with gazebos overlooking the beach. To use the pools, a release form must be signed prior to check-in.

All of the buildings at Dunescape Villas have parking tons near the unit. If additional parking is needed, there is overflow parking across the street. 2 parking passes included for parking at unit.

Bed linens, bath towels, and bath mats are not supplied. All beds have pillows and bed spreads. There are linen service companies in the area should you need this type of service.

Spring break weeks, mid-May to mid-September: 7 nighttime minimum weekly units, Sunday to Sunday. Other times of the year, 3 nighttime minimum with flexible check-in/out dates.

Self check-in and self check-out.

This is a no smoking property. No smoking around the pool, elevators, second floor common areas.

Renters must park in the designated spaces in front of the building, not under the buildings.

We would appreciate if guests would remove shoes at the front door. Sand from the beach lingers on shoes. Please do not rinse out sandy swimsuits in the unit as this could cause damage to the plumbing for the entire building. There are shower-off areas with hoses by the pool and beach access points that can be used for hosing off sandy items.

Safety First!! Ocean: Please look at the warning signs/flags out at the beach. If you see red flags, that means NO SWIMMING.

Can you put a tent on the beach? Modest tents/canopies are allowed on our beaches, supplied they are properly secured (tents over 200 ft & canopies over 400 ft need a permit). However, we strongly recommend that these structures are not left up overnight. Objects left on the beach overnight may interfere with nesting sea turtles and their hatchlings, and they also have a tendency to go missing when they are left unattended. In order to keep your visit safe and delightful, we suggest that any structures be removed from the beach at nighttime.

Property is equipped with an external security camera at the entrance to our condo facing the entryway door.

Damages to property will be the responsibility of the guest.

The Area
Directly across the street you have condo access to a pier and day-dock to keep your boat on the Bogue Sound as well as park your trailer. If you bring your boat, there is a public boat launch one mile away. The condo is located less than 2 miles to “The Circle” with multiple bar and restaurant options. Known as the main “Town Beach” and located in the heart of the busy Atlantic Beach community, The Circle offers a myriad of ways to stay entertained, both on and off the sand. The condo is also a short drive to historic Fort Macon and the NC Aquarium. Just a short drive back across the bridge, the cozy towns of Morehead City and Beaufort offer stores and multiple dining options as well as water excursions and tours to Cape Lookout, Shackleford Banks, and Harkers Island.

Tricks and tips to get the optimal vacation property experience:

Sticking to a budget:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal NC. To book the largest rental within your budget, we recommend reserving in Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at your favorite restaurants and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Morehead City vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
  • In the Morehead City area, The earlier you can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation homes are reserved very early. Booking your rental property up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental property.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner whether your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners often offer customers an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly costs 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for details.
  • Many property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Morehead City area travel guides which often include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

How to choose and book the perfectvacation home:

  • First, have your family choose a vacation week and a spending budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the configuration your group needs. Shore Beats Work! Direct Oceanfront Atlantic Beach Paradise has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is usually accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the property manager before reserving the home. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds. You will need to work out what configuration is best for your trip.
  • Visiting for a single attraction or event? Use a map search to browse nearby properties.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Remember to confirm all required amenities are included before booking
  • Some rentals allow pets, and some do not. Allowable types of pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask the property management company about pet restrictions before booking.

More considerations for your visit:

  • Be sure you get the host's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental. Store the manager's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Record any issues with the property at check in, and immediately contact the owner. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that can be valuable if a dispute arises.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, stereo or appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents lots of problems.
  • Be a good neighbor. Often, adjacent homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies is the right thing to do.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can frequently help. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Lock your rental home while you're out and about. Keep your property safe!
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, take a walk through the property to confirm you've collected everything. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did your family have a great vacation? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide comments. If your rental and/or host was terrific, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was wrong and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
