Booking the best Atlantic Beach rental experience:

Sticking to your budget:

  • In the Morehead City area, The sooner your group can reserve a home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental homes are reserved early. Booking your rental property 6-12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and book your vacation rental.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Morehead City area. To get the largest rental within budget, we strongly suggest reserving in Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at Morehead City restaurants, beaches, and activities.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host if your family qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Property managers typically offer guests an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
  • Often, rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Morehead City area visitor guide magazines that include coupons, either offered independently by local companies, or through a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Morehead City visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Planning and picking a perfectvacation home:

  • Choose your vacation week and maximum budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the bed configuration your group requires. Oceanfront Third Floor Condo w\/Panoramic Views, Balcony, & Shared Pool has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is often accessible online. Otherwise, email or call the property manager before you book the vacation home. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to establish what bed configuration is right for your group.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, and some do not. Acceptable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask the property manager about your furry family members before booking.
  • Looking for special amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters with amenity lists. Use these to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before booking

Some things to know before you go:

  • Get the property manager's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your . Store the host's information in your smartphone.
  • Hosts are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Keep your rental home locked while you're gone! Don't let thieves ruin your family vacation.
  • During check-in, record any issues with the rental property and immediately contact the host. Keep records of all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
  • Be respectful of your neighbors. Frequently, surrounding homes are filled by local residents. Respecting noise limits and parking policies reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Upon check-out, complete a walk-through to make sure you haven't forget anything. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your group have a fantastic time? Many rental management companies make it easy for clients to provide comments. If your rental property and/or host was terrific, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was amiss and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
