Tips to get the perfect Morehead City rental experience:

How to get the best rental home value:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of NC. To get the best rental home within budget, we recommend reserving in Fall or Spring months. You'll benefit from lower rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at restaurants, beaches, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Morehead City vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • In the Morehead City area, The earlier your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental homes are reserved early. Booking your rental six to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation rental.
  • Hosts sometimes offer special rates for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your family before you book.
  • Property management companies frequently offer renters an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for details.
  • Find a copy of your local Morehead City visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitor guide magazines contain offers and deals for nearby restaurants, attractions, and tours.

How to pick the best rental in the Morehead City area:

  • Start by selecting your the best vacation week and a max budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your group requires. SeaSpray 225, Oceanview Condo in Atlantic Beach, NC! has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts is commonly accessible on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, email the property manager before you reserve your home. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds.
  • If there's a certain Morehead City attraction you simply love, browse rentals that are either nearby, or those that cater to your desires.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
  • Are you bringing the family pet? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Pet fees or costs applied to your invoice.

Some things to know before you go:

  • Be sure you get the host's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental home. Put the host's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Document any issues with the rental upon arrival, and immediately contact the host. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that are beneficial if a dispute arises.
  • Property managers are available to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud visitors bothering your peaceful neighborhood. Use the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and places you would've not otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Protect the owner (and your stuff!) by locking the rental while you are gone, just like you would back home.
  • Double-check the rental property to confirm that you've packed all of your belongings on check-out day. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Property managers rely on excellent feedback to compel future reservations. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
