Strategies to get the optimal vacation home experience:

When to visit & When to book:

  • Summer months are high season in Atlantic Beach. To find the most suitable rental for your budget, we strongly suggest booking in Fall or Spring months. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at local restaurants, tours, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Morehead City vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
  • In the Morehead City area, The earlier you can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental homes are reserved early. Booking your rental home six - twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host if your group qualifies for a special rate.
  • Booking websites frequently offer their guests an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for more information.
  • Often, management companies supply Morehead City area visitors guide magazines which often include special offers, either offered directly by local companies, or through a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Narrow your Search:

  • Select a group lead, choose your dates, and choose a spending budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your family requires. Oceanfront, 2nd-Floor Condo with Balcony, WiFi & Shared Pools\/Hot Tub\/Tennis has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is generally available on booking websites. If they are not listed, call the property management company before reserving your rental. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches. You'll need to work out what configuration is best for your vacation group.
  • Visiting for a single attraction or event? If so, use a map search to locate nearby properties.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. .
  • If your family is traveling with pets, you must book a pet-friendly property. Get information on breed, size, and type requirements. Usually, hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.

More tips for your stay:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Take a printed copy, and save the instructions to your smartphone.
  • Document any damages to the property at check in, and immediately e-mail them to the host. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be useful if damages are assessed.
  • Hosts are great sources of help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious vacationers bothering your peaceful home. Employ the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and places you would have not otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Keep your rental home locked while you are away! Don't let thieves spoil your holiday.
  • Re-check every room of the property to make sure that you've packed all of your family's items at check-out. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did you have a great vacation? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide reviews. If your property and/or host was great, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was defective and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
