Located in the exclusive Ocean Ridge community, this brand-new 4,800 sq ft home features a walk-up rooftop (850 sq ft) with broad ocean and sound vistas. You’ll feel like you’re on top of the world looking across the ocean to Shackleford Banks or all the way across the sound into Morehead City. Stay in the shade inside the covered outdoor kitchen and bar where you’ll find a drink refrigerator, ice maker, sink with filtered water faucet, and an upsized grille. Want sunshine? Stroll out to the open decks and have a seat at the dinner table, gather around the fire table in the deep seating area, or savor a beverage at the pub table. The sunrises and sunsets are spectacular from this vantage point!

The third floor includes a entirely equipped gourmet kitchen with vistas of the sound and marsh. There are double ovens, a huge refrigerator, a coffee bar, and a wine cooler. Ocean vistas are the backdrop in the living area with overstuffed couches, fireplace, and enormous TV. Also on this level, you can wake up in your king bed and watch the waves roll in from the primary bedroom. The en-suite bathroom has double-sinks and a sizable soaking tub. The roomy shower includes a rainfall showerhead and optional jets. With constructed-in shelving, the huge walk-in closet has plenty of room for your belongings.

On the second floor, you’ll find three more bedrooms, all with king beds and en-suite bathrooms. Each bedroom is decorated with a unique motif and has a wall-mounted TV. There is a gathering area on this floor where you can hang out at the constructed-in banquette or pull up a stool at the workstation.

To keep the kiddos happy, a bunk room, game room, and full bath can be found on the first floor. For your convenience, this level has a mini kitchen with a refrigerator, sink, and cabinets for snacks. Steps away, a covered porch overlooking the 12 x 24 heated and cooled private pool is right outside your door. (Heating for the pool is an additional fee)

Outside, there is ample parking for family and friends. Cross the street, and you’re on the beach! After fun in the sun, you can rinse off in the outdoor shower. Our top Morehead City vacation rental home tips and tricks:

Cost saving strategies:

  • June, July, and August are high season in Atlantic Beach. Book your Morehead City rental property in the Spring or Fall to enjoy beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Morehead City vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
  • Reserve your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often open a year in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rental homes during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host whether your group qualifies for a special rate.
  • Property management companies often offer renters an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which usually will cost between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for details.
  • Find a copy of your local Morehead City area magazine upon arrival. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, travel guides contain deals for local tours and attractions.

Narrow your rental Search:

  • Start by having your group decide on date ranges and a budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. Sea Pearl- Exquisite New Construction with Pool & Rooftop Deck has 5 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is commonly available on booking pages. If they are not listed, reach out to the property owner before booking the home. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You'll need to work out what is right for your vacation family.
  • If there's a certain Morehead City attraction you are enamored with, look for rentals that are either close by, or those that cater to your desires.
  • Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all required amenities are available before reserving a rental
  • If your group is traveling with pets, you will need a pet-friendly property. Get specifics on breed, size, and type requirements. Some hosts charge pet deposits and fees.

Know before you go:

  • Take a copy of the property manager's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental. Store the manager's information in your smartphone.
  • During check-in, note any issues with the property and immediately alert the property manager. Record all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, A/V setup or thermostat. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents many difficulties.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud vacationers disrupting your peaceful home. Apply the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and places you would've never otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Keep the property locked while you are out! Don't let burglars ruin your trip.
  • Double-check the rental property to make sure that you've packed all of your belongings at departure. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the property a final time and look for any damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever you can. If the manager is not available, take photos of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • After your trip, leave feedback! Hosts rely on good ratings to stimulate more reservations. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your review and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.
