Pine Knolls Shore area offers a more casual, family-aligned experience than most NC or SC resort areas are offering these days. The location of this community is set somewhat apart from the hustle and bustle, and the clean, broad beaches provide an appealing hideaway for couples and families. The unit has two floors, sleeps 6 comfortably (that is the max. number of occupants) and has been completely refreshed for 2021. It is a great location just steps from the beach and pool.
This modest development, Pine Knoll Townes III, is occupied mostly by residents and out-of-town homeowners lending itself to a friendly, safe and mature ambiance (i.e. no wild events). Kids especially adore the ease of beach to pool to condo access. The NC Aquarium is right down the street, Lost Treasure mini golf & raceway about 3 miles, Fort Macon 8 miles, and a short ride to historic Beaufort. Please: No smoking and No family pets allowed for renters as per condo rules.

Also: Most people bring their own linens. If you choose to use our service, there is a fee. You should bring some beach towels and beach chairs.

Strategies to get the perfect rental experience:

Getting the most from your budget:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal NC. To find the best value, shift your family's Morehead City vacation to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and October offer great weather, fewer crowds, and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months.
  • In the Morehead City area, The sooner you can book a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental homes are booked very early. Reserving your rental home 6-12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and book your rental home.
  • Some hosts and property managers offer rate reductions for veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if special discounts are available for your family.
  • Property management companies usually offer guests an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for additional information.
  • Find a copy of your local Morehead City visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local articles, visitors guide magazines contain discounts for local attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.

Make a plan and choose your prefectrental home:

  • Choose a group leader, select your vacation dates, and select a max budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the configuration your family requires. Oceanview Unit in Desirable, Family-Friendly Community. has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts is usually available on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, contact the property manager before you book your rental. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds in living rooms.
  • If there's a specific Morehead City beach you simply love, look for homes that are either nearby, or those that cater to your requirements.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Remember to confirm all required amenities are available and included before reserving a rental
  • If your family is vacationing with pets, you must reserve a pet-friendly rental. Make sure to ask for specifics on breed, size, and type requirements. Usually, property owners require additional pet deposits and fees.

More considerations for your visit:

  • Be sure you get the owner's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your . We recommend storing the host's contact information in your smartphone.
  • During arrival, record any issues with the property and immediately alert the property manager. Keep records of all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, intercom or coffee maker. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call prevents quite a few problems.
  • Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Often times, adjacent homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations is the right thing to do.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Ensure you protect the owner (and your stuff!) by keeping the rental locked up while you are out, just like you would back home.
  • When it's time to leave, take a final walk-through to make sure you haven't forget any personal items. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Remember to leave a review! Property owners rely on great ratings to stimulate future bookings. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other families will appreciate that you share your feedback find their best vacation home. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.
