When to reserve a Morehead City rental & When to go:
- In the Morehead City area, The sooner your group can book, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation homes are booked very early. Booking your rental property six - twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your rental property.
- June, July, and August are high season in Atlantic Beach. To get the best value, try changing your vacation to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer pleasant weather, , and reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Morehead City vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner if your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction.
- Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer renters an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for more information.
- Look for your local Morehead City visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, travel guides have coupons for nearby accommodations and attractions.
How to pick the best vacation rental:
- Start by choosing trip dates and a maximum budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. Ocean\/Sound View Condo Near Beach with WiFi, Private Deck, & W\/D - Dog-Friendly has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Morehead City rental home search.
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is regularly accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, contact the property manager before booking your home. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds. You will need to determine what is suitable for your group.
- Some properties allow pets, and some don't. Acceptable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask the property manager about your furry family members before booking.
- Is your group looking for particular amenities? Most websites include amenity lists and search filters. Use these to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
More tips for your visit:
- Get the property manager's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental property.
- Property managers are there to help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Keep the property locked while you are out! Don't let crooks spoil your trip.
- To make sure damages are not linked to your stay, make note of any problem areas when you arrive. Get in touch with the rental manager right away to relay any issues. If there is a dispute, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be useful.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are often a great resource to find the best local beaches and hangouts.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
- Re-check every room of the property to make sure that you've packed all belongings at departure. Re-check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Walk through the rental a final time and keep an eye out for damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever possible. If the host isn't available, take video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Did your group have a terrific time? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide reviews. If your property and/or property management company was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was out of order and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
