How to get the best Pine Knoll Shores vacation property experience:

When to go & When to reserve a rental home:

  • Summer months are high season in the Morehead City area. Reserve your Morehead City rental in Fall or Spring to get the benefit of beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowds.
  • In the Morehead City area, The sooner you can reserve a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are booked early. Booking your vacation property 6-12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental property.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager if your group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners often offer customers an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for specifics.
  • Find a copy of your local visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local articles, visitor guide magazines contain deals for nearby tours, shops, and attractions.

Make a plan and pick the right Morehead City rental:

  • Choose your dates and maximum budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the bed configuration you need. Oceans #12, Oceanside Condo in Pine Knoll Shores, NC! has 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Morehead City rental home search.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts is commonly available on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, email the host before you book your home. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You'll need to establish what bed configuration is suitable for your family.
  • Are you looking for specific amenities? Most websites include search filters with amenity lists. Use these to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before booking.
  • Remember to include your furry companions! Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional fees or might be applied to your agreement.

Have a fantastic stay:

  • Take a copy of the host's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your .
  • Make a record of any issues with the rental during check in, and immediately e-mail them to the host. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that are beneficial if damages are assessed.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, elevator or kitchen appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents lots of concerns.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious vacationers disrupting your peaceful home life. Practice the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and places you would have never otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Lock your rental while you're out and about. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
  • Upon check-out, complete a walk-through to make sure you haven't forget anything. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the rental a final time and look for damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the manager is not available, ensure that you take video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did you have a fantastic stay? Many rental managers make it easy for customers to provide reviews. If your property and/or host was great, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was defective and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
