Booking the best Pine Knoll Shores vacation rental experience:

Find your perfect rental:

  • June, July, and August are high season in the Morehead City area. Booking in the Fall or Spring is a great way to save on your rental home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable homes. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August.
  • In the Morehead City area, The sooner you can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The best rental homes are booked early. Reserving your rental home 6-12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation rental.
  • Some hosts offer discounts or promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Ask your host or property manager if discounts are available for your group.
  • Property managers usually offer guests an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for details.
  • Often, property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Morehead City area visitors guides which will include special deals, either offered independently by local companies, or through a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Morehead City area magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Make a plan and choose a perfectrental:

  • Select your vacation week and max budget.
  • Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. Coral Shores #11, Oceanfront Condo in Pine Knoll Shores, NC! has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is normally accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, contact the property manager before you book the rental. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You will need to establish what is best for your vacation family.
  • If there's a certain Morehead City destination you are enamored with, look for rentals that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are available before booking
  • Traveling with pets? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your agreement! Additional pet fees or costs may be applied to your agreement.

During your stay:

  • Add the owner's contact information to your phone. Take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
  • Upon check-in, make note of any damages to the rental property and immediately alert the host. Keep records of all coorespondence.
  • Property managers are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Be respectful. Frequently, nearby homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting noise limits and parking policies reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Keep the property locked while you're away! Don't let burglars spoil your vacation.
  • At departure, take a final walk-through to make sure you did not forget any personal items. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the property a final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise walking through with the host whenever possible. If the host isn't available, take pictures of the property to record its condition.
  • Did you have a terrific vacation? Many rental websites make it easy for customers to provide reviews. If your rental and/or host was wonderful, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was inoperable and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
