Booking the best Atlantic Beach vacation property experience:

When to visit & When to reserve a rental home:

  • Summertime is high season in Atlantic Beach. To find the most suitable rental within your budget, we suggest booking in Fall or Spring months. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at Morehead City restaurants, tours, and activities.
  • Book your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families reserve their Summer rental homes during Winter holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a discount.
  • Booking websites frequently offer their guests an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for more information.
  • Find a copy of your local Morehead City visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitors guides have money saving offers on nearby accommodations, restaurants and tours.

Selecting and booking yourrental:

  • Begin by selecting your trip dates and a maximum budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your group requires. Coastal Paradise with Stunning Sound Views-Pool-Steps from Beach Access has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts is generally available online. If not, contact the property owner before you reserve the vacation property. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull out couches in living rooms. You'll need to determine what is right for your vacation group.
  • If there's a specific Morehead City attraction you long to visit, keep an eye out for properties that are either close by, or those that cater to your needs.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before reserving a rental
  • If your family is traveling with pets, you must reserve a pet-friendly rental. Request details on breed, size, and type restrictions. Usually, property owners charge pet deposits and fees.

Considerations for your stay:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Add a note with the directions to your phone, and take a printed copy.
  • Make a record of any damages to the property upon arrival, and immediately contact the property manager. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be useful if there is a dispute.
  • Property managers are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful visitors bothering your peaceful neighborhood. Use the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and scenic spots you would have never otherwise known!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Lock your vacation home while you are away. Keep your property safe!
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the property to confirm you've collected everything. Re-check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Remember to leave a review! Property managers rely on good reviews to inspire new bookings. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your review and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.
