Tricks and tips to get the best Morehead City vacation rental experience:

How to get the best value:

  • June, July, and August are high season in Atlantic Beach. To get the best value, change your group's vacation to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer pleasant weather, , and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer months.
  • The sooner your group can reserve a home, the easier your search will be. The best rental properties are reserved very early. Booking your rental home up to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental.
  • Some hosts and property managers offer discounts or promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if discounts are available for your family.
  • Property managers often offer guests an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually costs 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
  • Look for your local Morehead City visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, visitors guide magazines contain money saving offers on nearby attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.

Narrow your Search:

  • First and foremost, have your group select the best dates and a budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the configuration your group requires. 1 bedroom condo at Beach Resort has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Morehead City vacation rental search.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is normally accessible on booking websites. If not, call the property owner before booking the vacation property. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
  • Are you visiting for a single event or attraction? Use a map search to locate nearby properties.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Make certain to ask about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
  • Some properties allow pets, but others do not. Acceptable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask your host about allowable breeds and types before booking.

More considerations for your visit:

  • Add the host's contact info to your smartphone. Take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • To make certain that damages are not attributed to your family's visit, inspect the rental for any problem areas during arrival. E-mail the rental manager right away to relay your findings. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Property managers are great sources of help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a great source for finding the best local attractions.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Keep the property locked while you are out! Don't let thieves ruin your vacation.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the rental property to confirm you've collected all of your things. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Walk through the rental a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager isn't available, remember to take pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your group have a terrific stay? Most rental managers make it easy for vacationers to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property management company was wonderful, they would love to hear it. If anything was amiss and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
