Finding the best Beaufort rental experience:

When to book & When to go:

  • Summer time is high season in the Morehead City area. Book your rental property in Spring or Fall to enjoy gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Morehead City vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • Book your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules often open 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host if your group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners often offer their guests an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for details.
  • Look for your local Morehead City area magazine upon arrival. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitor guide magazines have coupons for local accommodations and attractions.

Selecting the best vacation rental in Beaufort:

  • Begin by choosing your vacation dates and a spending budget.
  • Note the number beds and the bed configuration your family requires. Heart of Historic Beaufort - 129 Craven Street\n300 feet from Beaufort Waterfront has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is regularly available on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, contact the property owner before you reserve the home. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds. You'll need to work out what configuration is best for your trip.
  • If there's a particular Morehead City attraction you are crazy about, keep an eye out for rentals that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before booking.
  • If your family is bringing pets, search for a pet-friendly property. Ask for information on breed, weight, and type requirements. Often, property owners charge additional pet fees.

Know before you go:

  • Store the manager's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • To make sure that no damages are linked to your visit, make note of any problem areas when you arrive. Speak to the property manager immediately to relay any damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, intercom or washer/dryer. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent lots of problems.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud vacationers bothering your life at home. Practice the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and scenic spots you would have not otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can frequently help. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Lock your rental property while you are gone! Don't let thieves spoil your family vacation.
  • Double-check every room of the vacation property to confirm that you've packed all personal items at check-out. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the rental one final time and look for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the host isn't available, remember to take photos of the property to record its condition.
  • Did your group have a great stay? Most rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide comments. If your rental and/or property manager was fantastic, they would love to hear about it. If anything was amiss and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
