Getting the best Pine Knoll Shores rental experience:

When to go & When to book:

  • Reserve your vacation in the Spring or Fall to get the benefit of warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities.
  • In the Morehead City area, The earlier your group can reserve a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation homes are reserved very early. Booking your vacation rental 6-12 months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and book your rental home.
  • Some property management companies offer special rates for veterans and active duty military. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your group.
  • Booking websites typically offer renters an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally will cost between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for additional information.
  • Look for your local Morehead City visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, travel guide magazines have deals for local accommodations, restaurants and tours.

Finding the best rental in the Morehead City area:

  • Choose your vacation week and max budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your family needs. Beachwalk 113, Oceanfront Condo in Pine Knoll Shores, NC! has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Morehead City vacation rental search.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts is usually accessible on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, call the property management company before you book your rental. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds.
  • If there's a particular Morehead City beach you are crazy about, browse rentals that are either close by, or those that cater to your requirements.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before reserving a rental.
  • Some rentals allow pets, but some do not. Allowable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask the host about pet restrictions before booking.

More tips for your stay:

  • Store the owner's information in your smartphone.
  • At Check-in, make note of any damages to the property and immediately contact the owner. Record all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, A/V setup or WIFI setup. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent lots of problems.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a fantastic resource to find the best local spots.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can usually help. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by keeping the rental locked up when you are away, just like you would back home.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, take a walk through the rental to make sure you've collected all personal belongings. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Walk through the property a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We suggest walking through with the host whenever possible. If the manager isn't available, remember to take photographs of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your family have a wonderful stay? Many rental home management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property manager was terrific, they would love to hear about it. If anything was wrong and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
