Our top Atlantic Beach rental booking tips:

Get the most from your rental home budget:

  • The sooner your group can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The best rental properties are booked very early. Reserving your vacation property up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your rental.
  • Booking your vacation rental in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons is a good way to save money on your vacation home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable properties. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager whether your group qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Property managers typically offer customers an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
  • Find a copy of your local Morehead City visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, travel guides have discounts for nearby tours and attractions.

Choosing and booking your Morehead City vacation home:

  • Select a group lead, select your dates, and choose a maximum budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the configuration your group needs. Surf Capsule suite - coastal retreat in iconic Atlantic Beach has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed types is generally available on booking websites. If not, contact the host before booking the home. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull out couches in living rooms.
  • Some properties allow pets, and others don't. Allowable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask the property manager about allowable breeds and types before booking.
  • If there's an individual Morehead City attraction you crave, keep an eye out for rentals that are either nearby, or those that cater to your requirements.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before reserving a rental.

More tips for your visit:

  • Get the owner's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your .
  • Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Lock your rental home while you're out and about. Protect your property!
  • Make a record of any damages to the property at check in, and immediately send them to the host. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are very helpful if a dispute arises.
  • Be respectful of your neighbors. Often times, adjacent homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting noise limits and parking rules is the right thing to do.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can often help. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, walk through the rental property to make sure you've collected everything. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the property a final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host isn't available, take video of the property to record its condition.
  • After your trip, leave feedback! Hosts rely on great ratings to stimulate new bookings. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationing families will will be grateful for your feedback find their best rental home. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.
