Strategies to get the best rental experience:

When to go & When to book:

  • Booking in Fall or Spring is one of our best tips for saving money on your vacation rental. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable properties. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Morehead City vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
  • Reserve your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally open twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families book their Summer vacations during holiday gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Booking websites typically offer their guests an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
  • Many management companies supply Morehead City area travel guides which include special offers, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Morehead City visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

How to select the best vacation rental in Atlantic Beach:

  • Choose a designated group leader, choose your trip dates, and choose a maximum budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. SeaSpray 230, Oceanview Condo in Atlantic Beach, NC! has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is regularly accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, contact the property owner before you reserve the vacation property. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
  • Visiting for a single event? If so, use a map search to locate nearby properties.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
  • Remember to include your furry companions! Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Pet fees or charges may be applied to your contract.

Some things to know before you go:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before traveling. Add a note with the directions to your phone, and take a printed backup.
  • To make sure that no damages are attributed to your family's stay, inspect the property for any problem areas during arrival. Speak to the rental manager right away to relay any issues. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Hosts are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. You'll increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be a terrific resource to find the best local scenic spots.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Lock your vacation home while you are out and about. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
  • At departure, complete a walk-through to make sure you did not leave anything behind. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Please make sure to walk through the rental one final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the manager isn't available, remember to take pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Remember to leave feedback! Property owners rely on good ratings to propel new reservations. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other families will will be grateful for your review and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
