How to get the best Atlantic Beach vacation rental experience:

Getting the most from your spending budget:

  • In the Morehead City area, The earlier your group can book a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best rental homes are reserved early. Reserving your vacation home six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental home.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Morehead City area. Reserve your vacation home in Fall or Spring months to enjoy beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Morehead City vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
  • Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer rate reductions for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your family.
  • Property management companies often offer guests an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
  • Look for your local Morehead City area magazine upon arrival. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great articles, visitor guide magazines have discounts for nearby restaurants, attractions, and tours.

How to select the best rental in Atlantic Beach:

  • Begin by choosing your the best vacation week and a budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. Completely Renovated, Oceanfront Condo with WiFi, HDTVs & Shared Pools\/Hot Tub has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed types is normally available on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, email or call the host before you reserve the vacation home. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds in living rooms.
  • Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional fees or charges could be applied to your agreement.
  • Visiting for a single event or attraction? Try a map search to locate nearby properties.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. .

Some things to know before you go:

  • Add the owner's information to your phone. Take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
  • Property managers are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
  • Lock your vacation home while you're out. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
  • To make certain that no damages are attributed to your family's stay, inspect for any problem areas when you arrive. Contact the rental manager immediately to report any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful visitors bothering your home life. Employ the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and scenic spots you would've never otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • At departure, complete a final walk-through to confirm you have not forget any personal items. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did you have a terrific vacation? Many rental management companies make it easy for clients to provide comments. If your rental property and/or property manager was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
