Tips to get the perfect Morehead City vacation home experience:

Getting the best rental home value:

  • Reserve your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rentals during holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summer time is high season in the Morehead City area. To find the best value, change your vacation dates to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and even October offer warmer temperatures, , and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Morehead City vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • Some owners offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans. Ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your group before you book.
  • Booking websites usually offer renters an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually costs between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for specifics.
  • Find a copy of your local visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local information, visitor guides contain offers and deals for local restaurants, attractions, and tours.

Finding the best vacation home in the Morehead City area:

  • Begin by choosing a vacation week and a budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration you need. Sea Therapy, Almost Oceanfront Home in Emerald Isle, NC! has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is usually accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, email or call the host before reserving the home. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which usually includes pull out couches in living rooms. You will need to determine what configuration is optimal for your group.
  • Do your family pets travel with you? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional pet fees or charges applied to your contract.
  • If there's an individual Morehead City destination you simply love, browse properties that are either nearby, or those that cater to your desires.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. .

Some things to know before you go:

  • Take a copy of the owner's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your . We recommend storing the manager's information in your smartphone.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, elevator or coffee maker. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent quite a few difficulties.
  • Lock your rental home while you're out. Keep your property safe!
  • To make sure that no damages are linked to your stay, record any problem areas upon check in. Get in touch with the host immediately to report your findings. If there is a dispute, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are often a fantastic source for finding the best local beaches and restaurants.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • When it's time to leave, complete a final walk-through to make sure you didn't leave anything behind. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did you have a wonderful time? Many rental home management companies make it easy for customers to provide feedback. If your property and/or property manager was wonderful, they would love to hear about it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
