Strategies to get the perfect Beaufort vacation property experience:

How to get the best rental home value:

  • Summertime is the most expensive season in the Morehead City area. To find the best value, change your group's vacation week to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer warmer weather, , and reduced traffic.
  • The earlier your group can reserve a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The best rental properties are reserved very early. Reserving your rental property six - twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and book your rental.
  • Some hosts and property managers offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your group.
  • Booking websites frequently offer their guests an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost you 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for more information.
  • Often, management companies and vacation rental houses supply Morehead City area travel guides which often include money-saving deals, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Morehead City visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Choosing the perfect rental home:

  • Select a group leader, choose your trip dates, and choose a spending budget.
  • Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. Sea breezes and sun in historic old town Beaufort, a block from the water! has 3 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed types is usually accessible online. If not, contact the property owner before you reserve the rental. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds. You will need to establish which bed configuration is best for your vacation family.
  • Is your group looking for special amenities? Most websites include search filters with amenity lists. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find the best rental.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
  • Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional pet fees or may be applied to your contract.

More considerations for your visit:

  • Get the property manager's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental.
  • To make certain damages are not linked to your family's visit, record any problem areas when you arrive. Get in touch with the rental manager immediately to relay your findings. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, television set or appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief call prevents lots of difficulties.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious visitors bothering your peaceful neighborhood. Practice the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and places you would've not otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can typically help. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Lock your rental home while you're out. Keep your property safe!
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the property to reconfirm you've collected all belongings. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the rental a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host is not available, ensure that you take photos and video of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did your group have a fantastic stay? Many rental home management companies make it easy for travelers to provide comments. If your property and/or host was wonderful, they would love to hear about it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
