Tips and Tricks to get the best rental home experience:

Sticking to a spending budget:

  • Summertime is the most expensive season along the coast of NC. To find the best value, consider changing your group's vacation dates to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer great temperatures, fewer crowds, and greatly reduced traffic.
  • The earlier you can reserve a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation homes are reserved early. Reserving your rental property six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your rental home.
  • Property managers sometimes offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your group before you book.
  • Property managers frequently offer their guests an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
  • Find a copy of your local Morehead City area magazine upon arrival. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitor guide magazines contain coupons for nearby shops and restaurants.

Selecting the best vacation home in Emerald Isle:

  • Start by choosing your vacation dates and a budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration you need. Pier Pointe 1B2, Oceanfront Condo in Emerald Isle, NC! has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is commonly accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, call the host before you book the vacation home. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to determine what configuration is suitable for your vacation group.
  • Does your family require special amenities? Most rental search websites include amenity lists and search filters. Use these filters to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. .
  • Are you bringing the family pet? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your agreement! Pet fees or costs applied to your agreement.

Advice for a terrific stay:

  • Get the host's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental home. Put the manager's information in your smartphone.
  • At Check-in, make note of any issues with the property and immediately contact the owner. Record all coorespondence.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, A/V setup or coffee maker. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents a lot of issues.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be a terrific source for finding the best local beaches and restaurants.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by locking and securing the home while you are out, just like you would at home.
  • Just prior to departing, take a final walk-through to confirm you have not leave anything behind. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the rental one final time and look for any damage. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager is not available, ensure that you take photographs of the property to record its condition.
  • Did your group have a excellent stay? Many rental management companies make it easy for guests to provide comments. If your property and/or property manager was fantastic, they would love to hear about it. If anything was defective and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
