Tips and Tricks to get the optimal Morehead City rental home experience:

Cost saving strategies:

  • The earlier your group can book a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best rental homes are booked early. Reserving your vacation rental 6-12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and book your rental.
  • Booking a rental in the Fall or Spring is one of our best tips for saving money on your vacation home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable homes. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Morehead City vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
  • Some property management companies offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your family.
  • Property management companies often offer guests an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for additional information.
  • Look for your local Morehead City visitors guide magazine upon arrival. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great information, visitor guides have deals for local accommodations, tours and attractions.

Planning and picking the bestrental home:

  • First and foremost, have your group agree to the best dates and a spending budget.
  • Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Beaufort by the Sea - end unit townhome, spacious, pool, and other amenities! has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is generally accessible online. Otherwise, contact the property manager before reserving the vacation home. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches. You will need to work out what configuration is optimal for your vacation.
  • Some properties allow pets, but some don't. Acceptable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask the host about allowable breeds and types before booking.
  • Are you looking for particular amenities? Most websites include amenity lists and search filters. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find the best rental home.
  • Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. .

Considerations for your stay:

  • Add the property manager's contact information to your phone. Take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, stereo or thermostat. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent quite a few concerns.
  • Lock your rental property while you're away! Don't let thieves spoil your trip.
  • During check-in, document any issues with the property and immediately alert the owner. Record all coorespondence.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud vacationers bothering your peaceful home life. Practice the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and places you would've not otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can often help. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Just before checking out, complete a final walk-through to confirm you did not forget any personal items. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • After your trip, leave feedback! Property owners rely on excellent feedback to propel more reservations. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other families will will be grateful for your review find their best vacation home. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.
