Tips to get the best Atlantic Beach vacation rental experience:

Getting the most from your budget:

  • The earlier your group can reserve a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The best rental homes are reserved very early. Booking your vacation property up to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation home.
  • Summer is high season in the Morehead City area. Booking your vacation home in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons is one of our best tips for saving money on your rental home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of desirable properties. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Morehead City vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host whether your group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Property managers often offer customers an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly costs between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
  • Many management companies and vacation rental houses supply Morehead City area visitors guides which will include money-saving deals, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Morehead City visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

How to pick the perfect rental in the Morehead City area:

  • Start by choosing vacation dates and a budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your group requires. Oceanfront condo with 3 shared pools, 2 seaside balconies, and sound side dock. has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is regularly accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, email or call the property owner before booking your rental. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • Some rentals allow pets, but some don't. Allowable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask the property management company about allowable breeds and types before booking.
  • If there's a particular Morehead City attraction you simply love, browse rentals that are either near by, or those that cater to your requirements.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before booking

Know before you go:

  • Put the host's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Hosts are great sources of help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
  • Ensure you protect the owner (and your things!) by locking the rental while you are gone, just like you would at home.
  • To make certain that no damages are linked to your family's visit, inspect for any problem areas upon check in. E-mail the rental manager immediately to report any damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious visitors disrupting your home life. Employ the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and attractions you would've never otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Just before checking out, take a final walk-through to confirm you did not forget anything. Re-check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the property one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the property manager is not available, remember to take photos and video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Remember to leave feedback! Property owners rely on great feedback to stimulate more bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other families will will be grateful for your experience find their best rental home. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.
