  • Summer is high season in Emerald Isle. Book your Morehead City vacation in Fall or Spring to get the benefit of warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowds.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host if your family qualifies for a discount.
  • Property management companies typically offer their guests an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed days as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for specifics.
  • Find a copy of your local visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitor guides contain money saving offers on local tours and attractions.

  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Re-check every room of the property to make sure that you've packed all of your belongings on check-out day. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Please make sure to walk through the property a final time and look for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the host is not available, remember to take video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Remember to leave feedback! Hosts rely on good reviews to stimulate new reservations. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your review and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to remedy it.
