Tips to get the best rental home experience:

Sticking to a rental home budget:

  • Summer months are the most expensive season along the coast of NC. Booking a rental in the Fall or Spring is an excellent way to save on your vacation home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable homes. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer.
  • In the Morehead City area, The earlier you can reserve a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are reserved early. Booking your vacation home six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your vacation home.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host whether your family qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
  • Property management companies typically offer customers an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
  • Look for your local visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitors guides have deals for nearby attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.

Selecting and booking a perfect Morehead City rental home:

  • Select a designated group leader, choose your vacation week, and select a max budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Lovely 1 BR with King bed Apt 4 has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is regularly accessible on booking pages. If not, email the property manager before reserving the rental. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to work out what is right for your vacation group.
  • Does your family require particular amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters with amenity lists.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Make certain to ask about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
  • If your family is vacationing with pets, you must book a pet-friendly rental. Request details on breed, size, and type requirements. Some hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.

Tips for a wonderful stay:

  • Be sure you get the host's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental.
  • To make sure that damages are not linked to your family's visit, note any problem areas during check in. message the host immediately to report your findings. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Property managers are available to help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay more pleasurable. You'll enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are usually an incredible resource to find the best local restaurants, beaches, and hangouts.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can often help. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Lock your vacation home while you're out and about. Protect your property!
  • Re-check the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all of your belongings at departure. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the rental a final time and scan for damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the host is not available, remember to take photos of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your family have a excellent time? Many rental websites make it easy for customers to provide feedback. If your rental and/or host was wonderful, they would love to hear it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
