Sound of the Sea is a well maintained gated community in Emerald Isle. Short walking distance to grocery store, stores, movies, eateries, Putt-Putt, bicycle units, surfing units, bait stand, and more! Elegant sandy beach is never busy. Head east on beach and walk one mile to Bogue Pier, head west and walk 3 miles to the gorgeous "Point."

Rents Saturday to Saturday. Second floor condo, 2BR, 1-1/2B. 2Q rooms. Linens, bath towels and beach towels included. Totally equipped kichen, washer/dryer, 2 cable TV's, DVD player, stereo with CD player, wireless hi-speed internet access. Spiral staircase to 2nd floor BR's. 2 decks. Good ocean view. About the Area

Located in Emerald Isle, this condo is in the city center and near the beach. Salty Pirate Water Park and Emerald Forest Golf are local attractions and those in the mood for shopping can visit Emerald Plantation and Salty Air Open Market. The Sweet Spot and Emerald Isle Adventures are also worth visiting.

When to visit Emerald Isle & When to book:

  • To find the best value, try shifting your vacation to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and October offer warmer temperatures, , and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Morehead City vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
  • The earlier your group can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental homes are booked early.
