Rental home tips and tricks:

When to book & When to go:

  • Reserve your Morehead City rental property in Spring or Fall to enjoy warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable during June, July, and August.
  • Book your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacation rentals during Winter holiday get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Some property managers offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Check with your property manager to see if special discounts are available for your group.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer guests an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for details.
  • Find a copy of your local visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitors guides have coupons for local accommodations and attractions.

How to pick the perfect vacation home in the Morehead City area:

  • Select your dates and budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your family needs. Come Enjoy your stay at The Pirates Pebble! has 1 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Morehead City rental home search.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed types is generally available online. If they are not listed, email or call the property owner before reserving the vacation property. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches.
  • Visiting for a specific event or attraction? Use a map search to browse nearby properties.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. .
  • If your family is bringing pets, you must reserve a pet-friendly vacation rental. Get specifics on breed, size, and type restrictions. Some hosts charge pet deposits and fees.

Advice for a wonderful stay:

  • Be sure you get the owner's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your rental. Store the manager's information in your smartphone.
  • To make certain that damages aren't attributed to your family's stay, inspect the rental for any problem areas upon your arrival. Speak to the host right away to report any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Property managers are there to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Respect your neighbors. Often times, adjacent homes are filled by local residents. Respecting noise limits and parking rules is the right thing to do.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Keep your rental home locked while you are gone! Don't let crooks spoil your family vacation.
  • Double-check the rental property to confirm that you've packed all personal items at departure. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Please make sure to walk through the rental a final time and look for damage. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the host isn't available, take pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Leave a review! Property owners rely on excellent ratings to inspire future bookings. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other families will appreciate that you share your feedback find their best vacation rental. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.
