Unwind on the screened porch with a cup of coffee in the morning or in the evening with a glass of wine. You may spot a few deer going through the yard which are a delight to kids and adults alike. Three bedrooms (all with new queen beds- a queen and twin air bed for a tag-a-long guests), two baths with a brand new outdoor shower (Carport level). Conveniences included in the rental are: 2 kayaks with paddles, 1 stand up paddle board, body boards, 4 bicycles (bring your own helmets), 10 beach chairs, Shibumi, beach umbrella, ping pong table, sand/beach toys and corn hole. Games and puzzles are also supplied along with beach towels, sheets/pillows/blankets for beds (triple sheeted) and towels for bathrooms, outdoor shower and kitchen. The home also offers a completely equipped kitchen, sizable walk in closets, washer and 2 dryers. A golf cart is supplied in the rental unlike many homes on the island. Our top Morehead City vacation rental tips:

Finding your perfect vacation home:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of NC. Reserve your Morehead City vacation in Fall or Spring months to enjoy beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during June, July, and August.
  • The sooner you can book a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental homes are reserved early. Reserving your rental home six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental property.
  • Some hosts offer promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your property manager if discounts are available for your family before you book.
  • Booking websites frequently offer renters an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
  • Look for your local Morehead City visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great information, travel guides have deals for local accommodations, tours and attractions.

How to select the best rental in the Morehead City area:

  • Start by choosing your a vacation week and a maximum budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration you need. Charming Soundside Home including Golf Cart, Kayaks, Bikes & Linens-Emerald Isle has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed types is often available on booking websites. If they are not listed, contact the property manager before booking the home. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds and bunks. You will need to work out what is suitable for your family.
  • If there's a specific Morehead City beach you simply love, look for homes that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your needs.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
  • Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask your host before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional fees or charges applied to your agreement.

More considerations for your visit:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Save the directions to your phone, and take a printed backup.
  • During check-in, record any issues with the property and immediately contact the owner. Keep records of all coorespondence.
  • Hosts are great sources of help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud vacationers bothering your peaceful neighborhood. Apply the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and attractions you would have never otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can frequently help. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Protect the property owner (and your things!) by locking the property when you are out, just like you would back home.
  • Re-check the rental property to make sure that you've packed all of your family's items at check-out. Re-check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the property one final time and keep an eye out for damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the manager is not available, take photographs of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did you have a excellent vacation? Most rental management companies make it easy for customers to provide reviews. If your rental and/or property manager was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was out of order and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
