The Pelican’s Post is a roomy 4-Bedroom, 4-Bath duplex located on a high lot with handsome vistas of the ocean from all levels. Located just across the street from the beach access on a rather cul-de-sac. Just mins. away from Emerald Isle where visitors can shop, catch a movie, play miniature golf, ride a go cart and more. Within a 5 min. drive to eateries, bars and ice cream stores. The Bogue Inlet Pier is a short walk down the beach where you can fish, get lunch or watch the waves. Bicycle units, Jet Ski units and Kayaks are a 5 min. drive on the sound side of the island.

GROUND LEVEL: Movie/Rec Room-Enormous Intelligent TV with sectional and tons of games, puzzles, and cards. There is also a full bathroom.

MIDDLE LEVEL: Master bedroom has a King Bed and on-suite, Bedroom 2 has 2 Twin Beds, Bedroom 3 has a Queen Bed and there is a full bathroom as well. Oceanview deck access from the master bedroom.

TOP LEVEL: Bedroom 4 has a Queen Bed and attached full bathroom, Generous open living room with a queen sleeper couch, kitchen and dining room.

Sticking to your budget:

• June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Emerald Isle. Booking your Morehead City vacation rental in Fall or Spring is our favorite way to save money on your vacation. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of desirable properties. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Morehead City vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
• Reserve your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules generally open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups book their Summer rental homes during holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
• Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a discount.
• Property management companies often offer renters an option to obtain trip insurance. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
• Visiting for a single attraction? Use a map search to find nearby rentals.
• Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before reserving a rental
• If your group is vacationing with pets, you will need a pet-friendly vacation rental. Request details on breed, weight, and type requirements. Be aware that some hosts charge pet deposits and fees.

Considerations for your stay:

• Add the owner's phone number to your smartphone. Print and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.

• Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, intercom or WIFI setup. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents lots of concerns.
• Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be an excellent source for finding the best local attractions.
• Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
• Protect the owner (and your stuff!) by locking the rental when you are gone, just like you would at home.
• On check-out day, take a walk-through to make sure you did not leave anything behind. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
• Go through the rental one final time and scan for any damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever possible. If the host is not available, take photos and video of the property to record its condition.
• After your trip, leave feedback! Property owners rely on good feedback to inspire new reservations. They'll be thankful for your review.
