Getting the best Atlantic Beach vacation home experience:

When to reserve a Morehead City rental & When to go:

  • Summer time is high season in the Morehead City area. To get the best value, try shifting your family's Morehead City trip dates to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and October offer warm weather, , and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August.
  • In the Morehead City area, The earlier you can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental homes are booked early. Reserving your rental property six - twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and book your rental home.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner whether your family qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Booking websites typically offer renters an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly costs 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for additional information.
  • Find a copy of your local Morehead City visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, travel guides contain offers and deals for nearby accommodations, restaurants and tours.

Planning, selecting, and booking the perfectrental:

  • First and foremost, have your group select date ranges and a maximum budget.
  • House in Atlantic Beach near the beach has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is normally available online. If you don't see them listed, call the property manager before you reserve the rental. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to determine what bed configuration is suitable for your vacation group.
  • Are you looking for special amenities? Most rental search websites include amenity lists and search filters.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Make certain to ask about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
  • If your group is bringing pets, you will need a pet-friendly rental. Get specifics on breed, size, and type restrictions. Some property owners charge additional pet fees.

Know before you go:

  • Take a copy of the property manager's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental home. Store the manager's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • To make certain damages are not attributed to your stay, note any problem areas upon your arrival. text the rental manager immediately to relay any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, television set or washer/dryer. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent a lot of issues.
  • Be respectful of your neighbors. Often, nearby homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Lock your rental property while you are gone! Don't let thieves spoil your vacation.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the rental to reconfirm you've collected all belongings. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did you have a fantastic time? Most rental home management companies make it easy for guests to provide feedback. If your property and/or property manager was terrific, they would love to hear about it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
