BeaufortHouse is our 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath vacation home on North River with 2 double beds, 1 queen bed and 2 twin beds. Located on the water about 3 miles from town in a peaceful neighborhood, it's close enough to appreciate what pretty Beaufort has to offer. The eat-in kitchen seats 4 and the dining room seats 8-10. Curl up in the recliner in the living room to savor a book, away from the gang, or sit on the screened porch or deck and enjoy the waterfowl and perhaps even dolphin playing in North River. Bring your lawn games to enjoy, or take a walk through the neighborhood. Lots of fun things to do in the area and when you tire, come back to a comfortable home, enjoy an outdoor shower, serve yourself a cool drink, put on some music and prop up your feet. BeaufortHouse is a great place to make memories!

How to find the best rental experience:

When to reserve a Morehead City rental & When to go:

  • Booking your Morehead City vacation home in the Fall or Spring is our favorite way to save money on your vacation. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable homes. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Morehead City vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
  • The earlier your group can book a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable properties are reserved early. Booking your rental 6-12 months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your rental.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager if your group qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Booking websites often offer their guests an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed days as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for additional information.
  • Many management companies and vacation rental houses supply Morehead City area visitors guide magazines that include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local companies, or through a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Narrow your Search:

  • Select a designated group leader, choose your vacation dates, and choose a maximum budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Spectacular Sunrises over the Waters of North River has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Morehead City rentals search.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is often available on booking pages. Otherwise, call the property owner before you reserve the rental. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • Visiting for a specific attraction or event? Use a map search to locate nearby rentals.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before reserving a rental
  • If your group is traveling with pets, filter your search for a rental that allows animals. Get information on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Often, property owners charge pet deposits and fees.

Have a great stay:

  • Add the owner's information to your phone. Understand and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • Note any damages to the property upon arrival, and immediately e-mail them to the property manager. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are helpful if damages are assessed.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, elevator or coffee maker. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents many difficulties.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome visitors disrupting your quiet neighborhood. Use the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and scenic spots you would have not otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Keep your rental home locked while you're out! Don't let thieves spoil your family vacation.
  • Re-check every room of the vacation property to confirm that you've packed all personal items on check-out day. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Walk through the property one final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager isn't available, ensure that you take pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Leave a review! Hosts rely on excellent reviews to propel more reservations. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your review and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
