Vacation rental home tips:

Cost saving strategies:

  • In the Morehead City area, The sooner your group can reserve a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The best rental properties are booked early. Reserving your vacation property 6-12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your rental home.
  • Summer months are high season in Beaufort. Book your vacation home in Spring or Fall to enjoy gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the high season.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Property management companies often offer guests an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
  • Many management companies and vacation rental houses supply Morehead City area travel guides that include coupons, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Make a plan and pick the perfect Morehead City rental:

  • Begin by choosing vacation dates and a maximum budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the configuration your group requires. Shell Cottage DOG Friendly in Historic District has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts is almost always accessible online. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the host before reserving the vacation property. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds in living rooms. You'll need to work out what is suitable for your group.
  • If your family is bringing pets, you must book a property that allows animals. Ask for details on breed, size, and type requirements. Note that some hosts charge pet deposits and fees.
  • If there's a specific Morehead City destination you love, browse homes that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your desires.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before booking.

More considerations for your visit:

  • Put the host's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Hosts are great sources of help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Keep your rental home locked while you are out! Don't let thieves ruin your vacation.
  • To ensure that no damages are attributed to your visit, inspect for any problem areas during arrival. text the rental manager right away to relay any damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant visitors bothering your life at home. Use the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and scenic spots you would've not otherwise known!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Upon check-out, complete a walk-through to confirm you have not forget any personal items. Re-check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the property a final time and look for damage. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the manager isn't available, take video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your group have a great stay? Most rental management companies make it easy for guests to provide reviews. If your property and/or property management company was great, they would love to hear about it. If anything was out of order and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
