Finding the best Morehead City rental home experience:

Find your perfect rental:

  • Summer months are high season in Atlantic Beach. To book the largest rental within your budget, we highly recommend reserving in Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at the beach and popular attractions. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer.
  • The earlier your group can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The best vacation rentals are booked very early. Booking your rental home up to 12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner whether your vacationing group qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Booking websites usually offer renters an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for specifics.
  • Often, property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Morehead City area travel guides which will include money-saving deals, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Morehead City visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Selecting the best vacation home:

  • First and foremost, have your family choose vacation dates and a max budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the configuration your group requires. Roberson Cottage, Oceanfront House in Atlantic Beach, NC! has 6 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed types is regularly accessible on booking pages. Otherwise, reach out to the property owner before booking your rental. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches. You'll need to determine what is right for your trip.
  • If there's a specific Morehead City attraction you simply love, look for properties that are either close by, or those that cater to your needs.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental
  • Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your agreement! Additional fees or could be applied to your invoice.

Advice for your stay:

  • Be sure you get the property manager's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental. Put the manager's information in your smartphone.
  • Upon check-in, document any damages to the rental property and immediately contact the property manager. Record all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, elevator or thermostat. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief call prevents many difficulties.
  • Respect your neighbors. Frequently, nearby homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting noise limits and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can usually help. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Ensure you protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by locking and securing the home while you are away, just like you would at home.
  • Double-check every room of the rental property to confirm that you've packed all belongings at departure. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did you have a great time? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide comments. If your property and/or property manager was fantastic, they would love to hear it. If anything was amiss and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
