Strategies to get the perfect Morehead City vacation property experience:

When to go & When to book:

  • To find the best value, consider shifting your group's vacation dates to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and even October offer warm temperatures, less crowded beaches, and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer.
  • In the Morehead City area, The earlier you can book, the better your selection will be. The best rental properties are booked early. Booking your rental property six - twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and book your vacation home.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host whether your group qualifies for a discount.
  • Booking websites often offer renters an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which usually costs 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for specifics.
  • Many rental management companies supply Morehead City area visitor guide magazines which include coupons, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Morehead City visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

How to choose the perfect vacation home in Atlantic Beach:

  • First and foremost, have your group agree to a vacation week and a budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your group needs. Ocean Front With Ocean Views has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is commonly accessible on booking websites. If not, call the property management company before reserving your rental. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds. You'll need to establish what configuration is right for your group.
  • Does your group require special amenities? Most websites include amenity lists and search filters.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
  • Remember to include your furry companions! Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Remember to ask your host before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional pet fees or costs may be applied to your contract.

More tips for your visit:

  • Be sure you get the property manager's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental. Store the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • During arrival, make note of any issues with the property and immediately contact the owner. Record all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
  • Property managers are there to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You'll increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are an incredible resource to find the best local attractions.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Keep the property locked while you are out! Don't let crooks ruin your trip.
  • Upon check-out, complete a final walk-through to confirm you have not forget anything. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the rental a final time and scan for damage. We suggest walking through with the host whenever you can. If the property manager is not available, remember to take photographs of the property to record its condition.
  • Did you have a terrific vacation? Most rental management companies make it easy for guests to provide comments. If your property and/or host was great, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was defective and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
