Booking the best vacation rental experience:

When to reserve a Morehead City rental home & When to go:

  • In the Morehead City area, The earlier you can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The best properties are booked very early. Booking your rental home 6-12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and book your rental home.
  • Summertime is high season in the Morehead City area. Booking your vacation rental in the Fall or Spring is our best tip for saving money on your vacation. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable homes. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months.
  • Owners sometimes offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if special discounts are available for your family before you book.
  • Property management companies frequently offer renters an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for specifics.
  • Many property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Morehead City area visitor guides that include special offers, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Morehead City area magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Filter your rental search:

  • Begin by choosing trip dates and a budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your family needs. New Beaufort home at Beau Coast Retreat for ultimate comfort and fun! has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is commonly accessible on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, email or call the property management company before you reserve the property. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which typically includes pull out couches in living rooms. You will need to work out what configuration is best for your family.
  • If your family is bringing pets, you'll need to book a property that allows animals. Get details on breed, weight, and type requirements. Some property owners charge pet deposits and fees.
  • If there's a particular Morehead City attraction you simply love, keep an eye out for homes that are either close by, or those that cater to your desires.
  • Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. .

Know before you go:

  • Get the owner's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental. Put the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, stereo or WIFI setup. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents quite a few issues.
  • Lock your rental home while you are out and about. Keep your property safe!
  • To ensure that damages are not attributed to your visit, inspect the rental for any problem areas upon check in. text the host right away to document your findings. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Be respectful. Frequently, nearby homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting noise limits and parking policies is the right thing to do.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Re-check every room of the rental property to make sure that you've packed all of your family's items at departure. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the property a final time and keep an eye out for damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the property manager is not available, take pictures of the property to record its condition.
  • Did your group have a great vacation? Most rental home management companies make it easy for guests to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or host was great, they would love to hear about it. If anything was wrong and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
