Tips and Tricks for getting the perfect Atlantic Beach vacation home experience:

Finding your best deal:

  • In the Morehead City area, The earlier you can reserve a home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation rentals are reserved very early. Booking your rental property up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation rental.
  • Reserve your Morehead City rental home in Spring or Fall to get the benefit of beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities.
  • Some owners offer special rates for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if rate reductions are available for your family before you book.
  • Property management companies usually offer guests an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which usually will cost 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for additional information.
  • Many property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Morehead City area travel guides which include coupons, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Morehead City visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Use filters to search efficiently:

  • Select a group lead, select your dates, and select a budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your group requires. Boaters Delight! Enjoy your vacation while you dock your boat in this new rental has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts is often available online. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the property management company before reserving the home. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • If your group is vacationing with pets, filter your search for a pet-friendly rental. Get information on breed, size, and type restrictions. Some property owners charge additional pet fees.
  • Visiting for a specific attraction? Try a map search to browse nearby rentals.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. .

More considerations:

  • We recommend storing the owner's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Hosts are there to help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by locking and securing the home when you are gone, just like you would back home.
  • To ensure that damages aren't linked to your stay, inspect the property for any problem areas when you arrive. E-mail the host right away to document any damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome vacationers bothering your peaceful neighborhood. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and attractions you would've never otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the property to make sure you've collected all personal items. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Please make sure to walk through the rental one final time and keep an eye out for damage. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the property manager isn't available, take photographs of the property to record its condition.
  • Did your group have a wonderful stay? Most rental home management companies make it easy for clients to provide reviews. If your property and/or host was terrific, they would love to hear it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
