About this Property

  • Private vacation home

Atlantic Beach just made #16 in the list of Top 100 Beaches in the United States, beating out even beaches in Hawaii! Truly a hidden gem, as this part of the island doesn't have public access, beyond a few cars, so it's just folks staying right there.

My favorite spots here are the broad with outdoor areas, including dining, giant sectional couches, and fire table to appreciate as the sun goes down. I adore that I can hear the waves crash from here.
The space
You will have access to two units in the same property with this listing, upstairs and downstairs:

Unit A
- King bedroom 1
- King bedroom 2
- Queen Murphy additional bedroom 3
- Twin Trundles additional bedroom 3
- Queen Murphy living room

Unit B
- Queen bedroom
- Twin bedroom (2 twins)
- Two rollaway twins

Please note there is an owners’ unit on site with separate entrance. Rarely used, but from time to time may have someone staying in it.
Guest access
The entire home, top and bottom, will be yours. The driveway fits six cars, and there is street parking as well.
Other things to note
Less than 300 meters to miles of handsome, sandy beaches! Located on Atlantic Beach between the ocean and the sound, this is your ideal hideaway for fishing, swimming, and more.

Fort Macon State Park: This fort dates back to the 1800s, offers guided tours, hiking trails, & picnic areas.

Aquarium at Pine Knoll Shores: See a wide variety of marine life & exhibits.

Fishing: You can fish from the beach, the pier, or charter boat out for deep-sea fishing.

About the Area

Morehead City rental home tips:

How to get the best rental value:

  • To find the best value, change your group's vacation to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer excellent weather, , and greatly reduced traffic.
  • Reserve your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups book their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host whether your family qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Booking websites usually offer guests an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for specifics.
  • Look for your local Morehead City visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, visitor guide magazines contain coupons for nearby accommodations and attractions.

How to choose the perfect rental in the Morehead City area:

  • Select a group lead, choose your dates, and choose a spending budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the bed configuration you need. Barefoot Beach: Spectacular Family Beach Retreat! has 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts is normally available on booking pages. If not, email the host before you reserve the home. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds in living rooms.
  • If there's an individual Morehead City beach you simply love, look for rentals that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your needs.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all required amenities are included before booking.
  • If your group is bringing pets, you will need a pet-friendly rental. Make sure to ask for details on breed, size, and type restrictions. Note that some property owners require additional pet deposits and fees.

Have a great stay:

  • Get the property manager's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your .
  • Document any damages to the property during check in, and immediately send them to the owner. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that can be very helpful if damages are attributed to your stay.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, stereo or WIFI setup. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents many concerns.
  • Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Frequently, adjacent homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking regulations is the right thing to do.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can usually help. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Keep the property locked while you are away! Don't let burglars ruin your family vacation.
  • Re-check every room of the rental property to make sure that you've packed all personal items on check-out day. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the property a final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the manager isn't available, take pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Leave a review! Property owners rely on good feedback to compel new reservations. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your review and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
