About this Property

  • Sleeps 16
  • 5 Bedrooms
  • 3 Bathrooms
  • Private vacation home
  • Approximately 3300 square feet

Atlantic Beach just made #16 in the list of Top 100 Beaches in the United States, beating out even beaches in Hawaii! Truly a hidden gem, as this part of the island doesn't have public access, beyond a few cars, so it's just folks staying right there.

My favorite spots here are the broad with outdoor areas, including dining, humongous sectional couches, and fire table to savor as the sun goes down. I adore that I can hear the waves crash from here.
The space
You will have access to two units in the same property with this listing, upstairs and downstairs:

Unit A
- King bedroom 1
- King bedroom 2
- Queen Murphy additional bedroom 3
- Twin Trundles additional bedroom 3
- Queen Murphy living room

Unit B
- Queen bedroom
- Twin bedroom (2 twins)
- Two rollaway twins

Please note there is an owners’ unit on site with separate entrance. Rarely used, but from time to time may have someone staying in it.
Guest access
The entire home, top and bottom, will be yours. The driveway fits six cars, and there is street parking as well.
Other things to note
Less than 300 meters to miles of handsome, sandy beaches! Located on Atlantic Beach between the ocean and the sound, this is your ideal hideaway for fishing, swimming, and more.

Fort Macon State Park: This fort dates back to the 1800s, offers guided tours, hiking trails, & picnic areas.

Aquarium at Pine Knoll Shores: See a wide variety of marine life & exhibits.

Fishing: You can fish from the beach, the pier, or charter boat out for deep-sea fishing.

About the Area

How to find the best Morehead City vacation property experience:

Sticking to a rental budget:

  • In the Morehead City area, The sooner your group can reserve a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation homes are reserved early. Reserving your rental home 6-12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your rental.
  • To get the most suitable rental within your budget, we highly recommend booking in Fall or Spring months. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at Morehead City restaurants, tours, and activities.
  • Some hosts offer rate reductions for veterans and active duty military. Ask your host or property manager if discounts are available for your family before you book.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer guests an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for more information.
  • Find a copy of your local Morehead City area magazine upon arrival. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitor guides have coupons for local accommodations, tours and attractions.

Filter your rental search:

  • Choose your dates and budget.
  • Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. Barefoot Beach: Spectacular Family Beach Retreat! has 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is almost always accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, email or call the property manager before reserving the vacation property. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds.
  • If your family is traveling with pets, filter your search for a pet-friendly property. Request specifics on breed, size, and type requirements. Usually, property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.
  • If there's a particular Morehead City attraction you love, keep an eye out for properties that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental

Considerations for your stay:

  • Add the property manager's contact info to your smartphone. Print and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, television set or washer/dryer. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents many issues.
  • Lock your rental home while you're out. Protect the owner's property and your things!
  • To make sure damages are not linked to your stay, make note of any problem areas during arrival. E-mail the rental manager right away to record any issues. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are often a great source for finding the best local restaurants, beaches, and hangouts.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, walk through the rental to make sure you've collected all belongings. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did your family have a great time? Most rental managers make it easy for vacationers to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property management company was wonderful, they would love to hear about it. If anything was defective and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
