About this Property

  • Sleeps 11
  • 5 Bedrooms
  • 4 Bathrooms
  • Private vacation home
  • Approximately 2400 square feet

During Hurricane Florence, our home suffered broad damage, thus was completely remodeled in 2019 - including all new kitchen cabinetry and bathroom vanities with granite tops, new furnishings throughout, bespoke tiled walk in showers, all new floor, lighting, etc. We live fairly close by and strive to keep our home impeccably maintained and well supplied.

We are an Oceanfront, 5 bedroom, 4 bath duplex with a private pool. Beds are K,K,Q,Q,D,T. Even though we are a duplex, the pool is exclusively for our side. It is located directly off of the main living area, is fenced in, and is a marvelous extension to the inside living space.

Weekly (Saturday to Saturday) stays only. All bed and bath linens are supplied with weekly units. No Animals and No Smoking Property.

Strategies for getting the perfect vacation home experience:

When to visit Emerald Isle & When to book:

  • To book the most suitable vacation home within your budget, we highly recommend reserving in the Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at your favorite restaurants and activities. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Morehead City vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • Book your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often become available a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families book their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your family before you book.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners often offer their guests an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost you between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for specifics.
  • Find a copy of your local Morehead City area magazine when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, travel guide magazines contain offers and deals for local accommodations and attractions.

Narrow your rental Search:

  • Begin by selecting your the best vacation week and a spending budget.
  • Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Affordable Oceanfront w\/ Private Pool! has 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is commonly available online. If you don't see them listed, email or call the property manager before reserving the vacation property. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches. You'll need to establish what configuration is suitable for your vacation family.
  • If there's a certain Morehead City attraction you crave, search for properties that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
  • Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before booking
  • Some rentals allow pets, and some don't. Allowable types of dog or cat, size and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask your host about allowable breeds and types before booking.

Considerations for your stay:

  • Put the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • During arrival, make note of any damages to the rental property and immediately contact the host. Keep records of all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, intercom or appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent a lot of concerns.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are an excellent source for finding the best local beaches and hangouts.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Lock your rental while you are away. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
  • Upon check-out, take a final walk-through to make sure you didn't leave anything behind. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the property one final time and look for any damage. We suggest walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host isn't available, remember to take photographs of the property to record its condition.
  • Did your family have a fantastic vacation? Most rental home management companies make it easy for travelers to provide comments. If your rental and/or property manager was wonderful, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was defective and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
