Atlantic Beach rental property booking tips and tricks:

Getting the most from your rental home budget:

  • Book your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacations during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • To find the best value, change your vacation dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer great weather, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Morehead City vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • Property managers sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your group.
  • Booking websites often offer customers an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed days as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
  • Look for your local visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, travel guides have offers and deals for local restaurants, attractions, and tours.

Make a plan and choose the rightvacation home:

  • To start, have your group choose the best dates and a spending budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the configuration your group requires. A Place At The Beach III , One-bedroom Unit has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is almost always accessible online. If you don't see them listed, call the property owner before booking the vacation property. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
  • If your group is vacationing with pets, filter your search for a property that allows animals. Ask for details on breed, size, and type requirements. Often, property managers charge additional pet fees.
  • Are you looking for specific amenities? Most websites include amenity lists and search filters. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find the best rental.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.

Some things to know before you go:

  • Add the owner's contact info to your smartphone. Take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • Hosts are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Lock your rental while you are out. Protect your property!
  • Make a record of any damages to the rental during check in, and immediately contact the owner. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that can be valuable if damages are assessed.
  • Be a good neighbor. Often, nearby homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting noise limits and parking policies reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Double-check the vacation property to make sure that you've packed everything at check-out. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the property one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the host is not available, take photos and video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Property managers rely on excellent reviews to propel future bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other families will will be grateful for your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to remedy it.
