2nd Row Duplex

Welcome to Sunset Dream East - This bright, gorgeous, clean home has expansive ocean vistas from the main living area. This home has a reverse floor plan with the living room, entirely equipped kitchen, one bedroom with a queen bed, and full bathroom on the top (3rd) floor. The bright living room has generous vistas, plenty of seating, a 42" flat screen T.V. complete with cable, a blue-ray dvd player, and stereo. The kitchen has granite counter tops and stainless steel appliances. There are a wide variety of cooking silverware, modest appliances, spices, and cookware.

The second floor has 3 additional bedrooms. The master bedroom is ocean-side and has a king bed along with an en suite bathroom (including a double vanity, jetted tub, and walk-in shower), and two closets. This bedroom also has a sliding glass door which opens to a second deck. The second and third bedrooms are on this floor as well. The second bedroom has one queen bed and the third bedroom has two twin beds. In addition, there is a second full bathroom on this floor.

Our home has high-speed internet and each bedroom has a flat screen TV, cable, and a dvd player. Each bedroom also has a ceiling fan.

The public beach access is conveniently located right across the street. There are beach chairs, body boards and sand toys available for your use. There is also an enclosed outdoor hot/cold shower.

Located roughly 3 miles from town, our home is convenient to eateries, stores, and Bogue Inlet Pier.

Linens are included with your stay. Absolutely no smoking or illegal drug use anywhere on the property.

Up to 2 dogs allowed. Family Animals must be kept of all furnishings and linens.

Insurance liability restricts the following breeds of dog: German Shepherd, Pit Bull, Rottweilers, Doberman Pinschers, Wolf hybrids & other aggressive breeds.
Sorry, stringently NO CATS. We have severe allergy to cats.

About the Area

Located in Emerald Isle, this vacation home is near the beach. Bogue Inlet Fishing Pier and Emerald Forest Golf are worth checking out if an activity is on the agenda, while those in the mood for shopping can visit Emerald Plantation and Beach Wheels Bike Rental. Flatwaters Paddling and Emerald Isle Adventures are also worth visiting. With kayaking, motor boating, and surfing/body boarding nearby, you'll find plenty of adventures in the water.

Get the best rental value:

  • To find the best rental within budget, we strongly suggest reserving in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at popular Morehead City attractions and restaurants. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Morehead City vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • In the Morehead City area, The earlier you can book a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are reserved early. Booking your rental property six to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your vacation home.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host if your family qualifies for a price reduction.

  • Protect the owner (and your things!) by locking and securing the home while you are out, just like you would back home.
  • When it's time to leave, take a walk-through to make sure you haven't forget anything. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the property one final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise walking through with the host whenever possible. If the manager is not available, take photographs of the property to record its condition.
  • Did you have a terrific time? Many rental home management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide reviews. If your property and/or host was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was defective and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
